My history with writing and content creation
At the end of the day, I’m a writer and storyteller. Here is a look at some of my best work over the years.
Period-tracking apps and privacy
After the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, my team and I felt it was important to dive into the privacy policies of several popular women’s health apps to see what information they collect, and whether it could be shared with law enforcement.
What’s the deal with the massive backlog of vulnerabilities at the NVD?
In early 2024, the U.S. National Vulnerability Database started to experience a massive backlog of security vulnerabilities that were just waiting to be processed and publicized. Working with SMEs from across Cisco and Kenna Vulnerability Management, I wrote an explainer on the issue and potential solutions to an issue still going on today.
Infostealers: The silent doorway to identity attacks — and why proactive defense matters
Infostealers aren’t just about having your email signed up for a bunch of unwanted spam. They can be an initial infection vector that leads to follow-on cyber attacks. This thought leadership piece on Sophos’ blog highlights the many ways in which threat actors try to capitalize on infostealer infections with ransomware and more.
What to Expect When You’re Electing
Unfortunately, I can’t take credit for the name. But I did help write, edit and polish this series of reports Talos published ahead of the 2020 Elections discussing the importance of election security in the U.S. and the ways adversaries were trying to spread disinformation.
Sophos Year in Review
Each year, Sophos recaps the year that was in product development, threat intelligence, and cybersecurity trends. I oversee this entire campaign, from creation to execution, including multiple videos, blog posts, and infographics.
And there’s more where that came from!
I’m more than just a writer, too.
I’ve created all sorts of content and managed an editorial calendar for a 500-plus-person organization. I even managed the day-to-day operations of a daily newsroom, so I thrive working in fast-paced environments. I look forward to connecting with you!
